Caprese Salad Juice
If you love a caprese salad, you will love this juice! When I first saw this recipe I was skeptical, at best, but I was also quite intrigued. I love caprese salad and I had to know if it is possible for a fresh vegetable juice to have the same flavor.
Even more concerning to me was that the recipe calls for fennel. If you have ever tasted fennel, you know that the flavor is similar to that of black licorice, a taste I do not like at all. So how could it be possible for a juice made with fennel to taste like a delicious caprese salad made with fresh mozzarella cheese? What would replace the flavor of the cheese?
I had to know. So I had to try this recipe.
Boy was I surprised when I discovered it tastes EXACTLY like a caprese salad! Here is what you'll need…
- 3 Roma tomatoes
- 1 fennel bulb
- A handful of fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 lemon
- pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. olive oil
Juice the tomatoes, fennel, basil and lemon. Pour the juice into your drinking glass and top with a pinch of sea salt and 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and then enjoy this fresh and delicious treat!
